The Reliance Jio customers who are on Rs 239 prepaid plan or above don’t need to buy an additional pack. People who had a lower-priced plan couldn’t experience 5G, so a new prepaid plan is now available for them. Reliance Jio has added a Rs 61 prepaid pack that lets you access the latest network in 5G-compatible Indian cities. It even includes 6GB of data.

The Rs 61 plan will remain active until your existing prepaid plan expires. This 5G data plan will work on those who have recharged with Rs 119, Rs 149, Rs 179, Rs 199 or Rs 209 prepaid plan. But, do keep in mind that if you haven’t received Jio 5G Welcome Offer, then you won’t be able to experience 5G even after buying this 5G data plan. There are four things that you need to have in order to access 5G services. Your smartphone should be 5G compatible and it should have received 5G support update from the manufacturer.

Your device’s mobile network setting should be set to 5G, after your device receives Reliance Jio’s 5G invite. One can check for the 5G invite in the company’s MyJio app. The telecom company automatically sends you a few notifications related to 5G invite and a banner is placed on the main page of MyJio app to let you know your device has received the invite.

5G network is great and offers 10 times faster internet speed to users. However, those who have tested the network might be aware of the fact that they are running out of data very fast. Once you get access to 5G on your smartphone and activate it, your data will get over in no time. Some people are also witnessing network issues. If you plan to use 5G, then don’t do it when you are out because you won’t have data on your smartphone. From paying for food to booking cabs, data is very important these days. So, you would not want to be stuck in the mid of somewhere with no mobile data.

Jio offers up to 1Gbps of speed as part of the Jio Welcome Offer, but it doesn't provide additional data for free to test the latest network.
